Leading Organizations to Health
Transformative Leadership for Healthcare
Your capacity to foster change in your organization resides less in your technical expertise than in the way you participate in the conversations and relationships that constitute your organization. And the way you participate is shaped by your theories, knowledge and beliefs about people and organizations; by the relationship skills and facilitation methods at your disposal; and by your authentic, affirmative and courageous presence.
Leading Organizations to Health is a leadership institute that will help you and other healthcare leaders strengthen each of these three core domains so your work as change leaders will be more effective and meaningful. It offers a unique synthesis of theories and methods that have proven very effective in change projects ranging from small scale (e.g.: improving working relationships on a team) to large (e.g.: fostering outcomes management and continuous improvement, improving the healthcare experience of patients and families, and changing the 'informal curriculum' of a medical school). These methods are grounded in sophisticated new theories of individual and organizational change and depend on the use of one's self as an instrument of change in social systems.
The program is a one-year virtual fellowship that includes 4 intensive weekend sessions at a rustic conference center in the eastern Rocky Mountains and 10 months of facilitated peer coaching to support you as you integrate what you’re learning into your work back home. It is intended for healthcare leaders of all disciplines, internal and external consultants, and for individuals who conduct in-house leadership development programs. A new cohort begins each April.
The work of organizational change is too hard, too important and too expensive in terms of time, money and emotion to approach without adequate preparation. Leading Organizations to Health will help you gain the knowledge, skills and presence you need to “be the change” and to lead effectively.
